Kids love to paddle in the rockpools and it's a great place to grab your fishing net or rod and see if you can catch your lunch.
The beach has sunbeds and umbrellas for hire and if you are feeling energetic then grab a pedalo. The friendly beach bar is a great place to quench your thirst and enjoy a delicious fresh Greek salad or tasty Gyros.
Kiotari
Kiotari is just 2km south of the villa and you can enjoy a lovely coastal walk along the miles of beach a mix of sand and pebbles.
Watersports enthusiasts will love that there are 3 watersports schools along this stretch so whether you are a skier, wakeboarder or want to be whizzed across the bay on an inflatable, the choice is yours!
Zeus have a small riding stable just 15 minutes walk from the villa and what better way to spend the early morning or evening than a ride along the beach or through the forest.
Two supermarkets in Kiotari will ensure you keep your fridge stocked with your favourite food, local wine and ice cold beer and a freezer full of ice-cream when you need to chill.
A panoramic train leaves from close to the villa so you can enjoy an hour scenic tour around the whole resort. If you are looking for something a little more 'Greek' than the hotel resort in Kiotari, then head inland to Askiplio. This lovely little village has a church dating back to 1060 and an interesting folklore museum housed in the old olive press. Take the walk up to the castle ruins where the panoramic view stretches further down the coast and across the green valleys.
Lardos
Lardos is a traditional Greek village where life centres around the main square, a wonderful place to sit and watch the world go by with a frappe, cold beer or an ice cream from the geletaria.
Lardos has a great selection of tavernas offering traditional Meze and international cuisine at affordable prices. You can always be sure of good service and a warm welcome and a chance to mix with the locals.
Dining al fresco at the villa is a must so do visit the local butcher, Panayiotis, for the best quality meat around and take advantage of the stonebuilt BBQ. Early mornings will see fresh fish being sold from the village square or visit the fishmongers if you miss the first catch of the day!
For your leisure, Lardos also has a go-kart track and a mini golf course open from morning until late at night.
All in all, Lardos is a great place to mix with the locals as they enjoy their coffee mornings and afternoons on the beer and ouzo whilst playing a game of Tavli (backgammon).
